EXECUTIVE COACHING/CORE VALUES PROGRAM: 

Leadership styles need careful and thoughtful development, with periodic opportunities to “take the pulse” of staff. Confidante works with your managers, individually and/or as a group, to ascertain strengths and weaknesses with the goal of capitalizing on strengths while bolstering the weaker areas. Confidante works with your leadership team to clearly articulate the organizational values and culture, and can assist with strategies to communicate them throughout the organization, and incorporate them into performance measures. 

CONFLICT RESOLUTION, MEDIATION & GROUP FACILITATION: 

Today’s workplace is plagued with group dynamic issues and teamwork problems that chronically undermine business results. Often times, a trained facilitator with a detailed situation assessment can foster candid communication, aid in working through difficulties, and defuse accrued frustration. Confidante consultants have mediated hundreds of interpersonal and business conflicts, helping participants reach the best possible outcome. We can quickly assess ineffective group dynamics by gathering critical information that leads to targeted and highly successful interventions, improving the functioning of the work group. 

TEAMBUILDING & INTERPERSONAL SKILL DEVELOPMENT: 

A sense of common mission and goals is essential to the success of an organization. This can be achieved through creating a true team spirit based on trust and respect, with open and honest communication between management, staff and among peers at all levels. Experienced Confidante consultants quickly identify critical workplace issues that may be inhibiting mutual trust, and solicit employees’ suggestions for improvements. These areas then can be addressed through effective teambuilding and skill development sessions delivered on-site for your staff. 

WORKPLACE THREATS & VIOLENCE: 

Workplace violence destroys businesses and lives. When terror struck the law offices of Pettit & Martin in San Francisco, they called Dr. Lambert. In this horrendously violent event, the debriefing and recovery process began immediately. It was equally important to put prevention and intervention programs into place. Confidante employs the most trusted authorities on workplace violence in the country. The services offered are diverse and complete. They include one-on-one behavior modification coaching, prevention program development, violence probability assessment, telephone and on-site situation response, triage, and management, follow-up and other intervention services. 

MISCONDUCT INVESTIGATIONS: 

New federal laws expanding civil rights protections to sexual harassment victims and the disabled, the backlash against corporate downsizing, and workers' and employers' turning increasingly combative, combine to flood the legal system with a record number of employment discrimination cases. Confidante consultants are experienced in conducting third-party workplace investigations of sexual harassment, discrimination, and workplace violence. Confidante identifies potential problem areas, performs effective intervention for established personnel issues, and aids your staff in executing strategies that meet legal requirements, as well as, human needs. 

LITIGATION SUPPORT: 

Confidante can work with counsel to provide litigation prevention consulting, and interventions to assure the protection of employee rights post-complaint. We intervene in the investigative process to assure a timely, thorough and unbiased determination of facts prior to the taking of employment action. Confidante also provides employers and counsel with reports of findings, conclusions, and recommendations regarding workplace misconduct. Our consultants can provide declarations, affidavits, and testimony in support of efforts to obtain issuance of restraining orders, protective orders, and in litigation. 

OMBUDS PROGRAM: 

The purpose of this program is to provide an objective problem-solving resource for employees. While the majority of workplace problems can be successfully addressed within the organization, there may occasionally be situations where the involved parties reach an impasse. The ombuds' role is to help get the process moving toward resolution. Confidante provides informal, confidential help to those who want to resolve their problems in the least disruptive way. We act as an independent, neutral, third party that is available by telephone or in person. 

TRAINING AND CONSULTATION: 

Confidante provides training programs for managers and staff on a wide variety of workplace topics, including effective communication, sexual harassment, workplace violence, stress management, conflict resolution, supervisory skills and performance management, substance abuse awareness, behavioral interviewing techniques, and interpersonal skill development. We can also design training programs customized for your workforce, and assist with critical aspects of the hiring process.
